Education online development sought
The Baltimore County Public School is now soliciting bids for the newest online education that would help improve its pilot online education program. They are getting solicitation from companies that have expertise on running online education system. This activity according school officials should at least guide them in their plans to improve online education in which they are currently testing waters as far as its viability and usability in the communities. Since the school is on its infancy as far as online education we can expect it would easily develop online education degree. But there are also hopes for this program in the future.
Kara E.B. Calder, county spokesperson said they are exploring more possibilities on how they could develop the online education system. She said in order that the program could move forward they need more information from experts. Schools officials, reports said, had already requested $2 million to pursue the online program which recent enrollment showed it nearly doubled. This means students and parents are now welcoming online education programs and have understood what it benefits to students.
Ms. JoAnn Murphy, board president said they are only sad the online education instruction program was not properly funded so that it can move forward and develop like many other schools and universities in the US. They are now planning to share the sentiment to 106 students that were part of the pilot program. The problem for this situation that it was not included in the budget is that there will be reverting of funds which the board has not also thoroughly discussed.
Murphy said based on their bids solicitation specifications companies which can best provide for online program that can work to at least 200 students who would successfully take the entire program – from internet connection 24 hours every day and other specific requirements such as providing, developing installing and servicing the entire kindergarten to 12 years old in virtual education. They said this is the best career opportunity they are considering to develop soon.
Kia Drake-Cummings, a parent from Randallstown said she knew that the online education program is not yet very strong but she’s also hoping it would soon realized into a very potential institution in the county to provide online education.
