Organizers of an education show in this part of the country is planning to introduce a wide range of options for students interested in higher education.

The “Ghedex 2009,” one of the most prestigious shows in the country is now tagged as the most effective and highly respected education show with international higher education reputation for the last few years that it existed in the country. The show is always dedicated to young professionals and other academic organizations, from April 8-10, 2009. The venue for said international event will be the Oman International Exhibition Center.

The show has been very successful for the lat 10 years and it had already established legacy for both young and professionals alike, which is under the patronage of the government’s Ministry on Higher Education. It was also learned that “Ghedex” is one of five major expos regularly held in the part of the country. The other shows include Jobex, Trainex, Schoolex and Edutech. Annually, the Ghedex is considered as a platform for higher education market and international education market too, especially in terms of internships, training, academic education and other career education programs.

Ghedex show is recorded as the premier exhibition in Oman for private schools so that it is accorded an excellent international exhibition award. The UFI, a global organization that supports Ghedex is also supporting the Ghedex programs.

Sadiq Ahmed Khan, Oite sales and marketing director and event’s organizer said the Ghedex contributed to the education system in Oman. The show opens a wide opportunity for schools, students, colleges, universities, and students to discuss valuable information about higher education in the country.

Oman’s system in higher education in the past years has a recorded increase of at least 27 percent as far as the number of students enrolled in institutions for higher learning. In this way, many institutions for higher education also reported the demands for quality education has encouraged them to affiliate with international institutions.

The “Ghedex 2009” is expected to showcase the most refutable colleges and universities of the world including United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Turkey, New Zealand, Malaysia, UAE, and India.
