Vocational skills can grant a person success either entering into a new career or just sharpening the recent profession. There are many schools catering vocational courses in the field of hospitality management such as; the College of DuPage which offers programs in baking, culinary arts, food service administration and hotel management and certificates can be earn in a year but with additional education courses, an associate degree can be earned. Food service trainings can also be acquired from local colleges like; Kendall College, and Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

Pharmacists are also in great demand; students can enroll in vocational schools like the certified pharmacy technician at Robert Morris. Students have complete internships in several hospitals.

Fitness is a growing trend; prospective careers in the fitness industry include personal gym trainers, and massage therapists. Graduates are hired by health clubs and various fitness centers.
