Does adult education makes American men smarter than women?
The report about fewer American men and women getting married are due to some supremacy problems. As a result to this situation it is also observed that married American couples are now called a minority. In fact, you can see in the US now many women living without their husbands.
Ray Fisman of the Columbia University who made a study about this problem said there are non-college-educated male students who does not like to marry American women who are college educated, thinking they are more smarter than them. Fisman, however, did not elaborate further if this is some kind of a psychological problem among American men.
Right now the ratio of college educated women as compared to men also rises to 4:3 which means women outnumbered those educated American men. It is feared that the number of women marrying men in America will also nose dive as the problem continues to hit them. American men who have lesser education than women feel in secure of themselves that their wives are maybe earning much better than them. Because of this, Fisman said, American men find it difficult to find American women to marry.
The survey also showed that three decades ago 6 percent American men who are non-college-educated never marry until they reach in their 40s. Today, the record already reached to 18 percent. This is an indication that the problem is really becoming a real concern for people in America. This problem is not yet known whether it is also the same scenario with other schools world wide.
Women in America are also aiming to marry men who are college educated as well as have better financial capacity to support the family. They only kept on prospecting for the types of men they want to live with as their husbands.
However, the report also cleared that there are also American men who are non-college educated who marry educated women and vice versa. But their marriages usually did not last. Majority of the marriages resulted to divorce, according to the survey conducted.
Also three decades ago there were 16 percent in marriages wherein wives are earning more than their husbands. Right now the percentage of this type of phenomenon already reached to 25 percent. In fact, it is predicted that by 2050, the population of American women earning more than their husbands would reach to almost 50 percent of the total population in America.
