Continuing education for medical practitioners

August 25th, 2008 by outsourcing

Continuing education for professionals is very important part for their careers to grow. Without it, professionals would have difficult times knowing some updates in legislations, technology and other laws and procedures how they could professionally practice their careers. If you always completed your continuing education every year you have great advantage than your peers who did not even bother to attend this continuing education program. The most important point here is that you always keep yourself updated of the latest information and laws about your profession. Whether you are a teacher, engineer, architect or a doctor, you have different continuing education programs.

Just the first week of August, Vital Images, Inc, considered as a leader in advance analysis and visualization solutions conducted Continuing Medical Education (CME). This is for the selected courses. For professionals joining continuing education conventions they are given credits for every activity they join. This is how the process goes for this. For instance, you are an architect, every time you join continuing education conventions you are credited for the activity until you will be able to complete it for the year. The continuing education is only for professionals and not applicable to junior architecture students, since our example here is an architect.

For medical professionals, the CME credits will be made available for selected courses. Vital Images started its program on August 4 and participants are expected to learn the basics in many specialized education programs where students can still. Based on the CME standards, professionals should be able to meet the crediting system so that the courses can also help meet the attendees need. Melissa Kenig, Vital U director, said the program is based on real situations and the needs of professionals.

Continuing education seminars happen anywhere in the world and this is one of the basis for the professionals continued updating program. Professionals will be given proper instructions to be able to help students. This is also considered a good career education by many professionals because they learn many things.

Continuing education for marketable skills

August 24th, 2008 by outsourcing

It is usually a common thing that when professionals and students feel there is scarcity in job opportunities that many try to go back in schools to learn more of other marketable skills and professions. They know if they stick to the old profession which is not marketable they would always end up jobless and this can hardly affect their lives. Retraining is really an important part in order to gain more skills needed by the current job market.

This is also the observation of Louis A. D’Abrosca of the Johnson & Wales University. He said many people preferred to gain more skills rather than wait for some opportunities for their old profession. As an academic administration dean of the said university, D’Abrosca said this is now the common trend you can see among professionals who enroll themselves in another degree just to get hired immediately.

The university is already expecting more enrollees in the fall and they are very happy to meet these new professionals enrolling in other educational degree. The school noted the increase in continuing education is also the result of the bad economy experience in the greater US territory and not only selected states. Director Joanne McQuesten also of Johnson & Wales University reported an increase in applications for up to 28 percent over than last year. In fact, the university now has more or less 826 students enrolled in each semester in undergraduate programs.

There is also another education program now being offered by the university for the adult students participating in evening classes. Continuing education programs include human resources management, basic management, financial services, travel agent certification and operations management. Online degree programs are also eyed by the school as among the most important considerations. Annette Cerilli of Bryant University said a school that really provides adult education. It had more than 2,500 students enrolled in a year. This means the school is really true to its earlier decision to put continuing education. Dante Del Giudice, director at Rhode Island College said their office has been receiving phone calls everyday. Although, Giudice said, he is not exactly aware of the figure but he said phones calls are really amazing.

Continuing education for Lawyers on virtual law

August 18th, 2008 by outsourcing

Lawyers are among the most respected professions all over the globe aside from doctors of medicine, architects and engineers. They master their craft in legal battle against their colleagues in the profession with them prosecuting or depending cases of their clients. To make them very successful in their chosen profession lawyers, just like the other professions, have their so-called continuing education and they are just like students still hungry for more knowledge about law.

Atty. Geri Kahn of Benecia law office the other day attended an online gathering of almost 40 artists and lawyers using the 3D virtual world called Second Life. During the gathering, every participant is identified with their virtual persona also known as avatar they control in their respective computers. Gery Khan is the vice president of the Second Life Bar Association. This group is composed of legal scholars, lawyers, and all people having interest and fascination on laws and legal matters. Kahn is responsible in holding series of continuing education online about legal matters online. Continuing education is also like a career planning in which lawyers plan to improve their careers with the help of this continuing education program.

Last Tuesday’s seminar activity was concentrated in intellectual property online which is composed of five parts. It was learned that all these five part-series on intellectual property enforcement can be used as part of the mandatory continuing education, and this continuing education is practiced by millions of lawyers around the globe – and not only in the State Bar of California. Lawyer from Croatia, Atty. Tamiko Frankin, leads the seminar with her avatar identified herself as Juris Amat. However, the participants mostly came from California and they were lawyers and artists who got interested in virtual copyrights.

Lawyers believe that with so many legal crimes happening in the internet, the legal profession shall also update them how they would be able to prosecute people involve in cyber crimes such as hacking, spamming and all others – which they said a threat to many online businessmen doing their business as professionals as they did offline. It was learned that there were about 1.2 million of the users of Second Life who have logged in the last two months.

Kahn said the law seminar is free right now but they also plan to ask for nominal fee to help the continuity program of Second Life. The online education program is one good step to reach out to more lawyers as well as strengthened their programs on the problems that arises in the virtual world, with many people complaining they are victimized by unscrupulous individuals.

Education online

August 6th, 2008 by outsourcing

It has been known that online education is the latest and well known educational system that most individuals in the United States are undertaking especially to the learners who are pursuing a higher educational learning such as college education, master’s degree or even PhD level of education. This vast increase of online learners in the country had occurred due to several reasons. But most of the reason that been noted usually involves lack of financial resources to undertake the traditional learning in school campus setting especially right now that the country is experiencing a challenge on its economical status. As a result, the prices of the basic necessities of the person keep on increasing especially the educational expenditures and the higher prices that gas entails.

With that situation, most of the learners who are financially affected by the gas price increase and the increase of the educational expenditures usually shifted to the online educational system due to the fact that they can lessen their overall expenses and as well, they can also save much money. As several learners went on to this type of career education system, it encourages several online schools in the country to improvise their system of education in order to provide a more quality educational program to the learners. One of the latest improvements that been done was an online educational blog created by Drexel University online. In this educational online blog, updates of the university events and educational information are being published in order to update their online learners for some latest educational services that their school provides.

With the latest educational improvement that Drexel University online have made to their educational system, it also motivates some online schools that been enlisted in the national and international online school directory of the country to also develop their educational system. Indeed, it’s quite clear that the system of online education in the country is quite competitive enough to produce quality and competitive individuals in order to become an asset in the society for its progression.
